Cybercriminals paint their new target on Honda’s global operations

Honda has recently confirmed that they are under a cyber attack that is impacting their global operations.

The Japanese automobile organization has said that the cyber attack is causing them trouble in accessing their systems and are also impacting production outside Japan. The organization has recently tweeted about the same to inform its customer base about the situation.

Honda makes motorcycles, cars, generators and lawn mowers, among other products – said one of its internal servers was attacked externally. The organizatiob has confirmed that their UK plant has been halted alongside a suspension of other operations in North America, Turkey, Italy and Japan.

The company has ensured that their is no data loss and the business impact by this attack is minimal. Researchers are claiming that it is the deed of a ransomware attack which means that Honda’s data is been encrypted and its systems might be made unaccessible.

Cybercriminals are not only targeting the common people but have also targeted various business giants during this pandemic times. Honda employs nearly 220,000 people worldwide across more than 400 group affiliate companies, which makes it one of the most established companies around the globe.
