Fake emails with “update required” alerts are targeting users to steal sensitive information

Fraudulent emails with alerts of deactivating account if not updated are targeting users.

Hackers are forwarding emails with the alert of account deactivation to various users. The email stated that the user account will be deactivated if the user fails to update the account to a newer version.

The email has a link attached to it which will redirect the users to a hacker controlled login page. Upon entering the login credentials in this page, hacker gains the access to this information and can use it for malicious activities.
