Hackers are sending out phishing emails with malicious attachments

NPAV research team has reported a new phishing scam targeting various users.

The emails impersonate an authentic looking organization and claims to be sharing invoice copies. These copies are forwarded as attachments to the email.

The attachments forwarded via these emails are malicious and can be used by hackers to spread malware backdoor. The attachment opens a Microsoft excel page which asks users for their credentials. This page is a hacker-controlled data logging page which can steal all the information that user enters.

NPAV recommends users to stop trusting these fake emails and refrain from downloading any attachments from them. Install NPAV on your devices to keep them safe and secure from all kinds of cyber attacks.
