Hackers are trying to phish login credentials by sending out fake De-activation emails

NPAV research team has recently reported a new phishing scam targeting users and businesses.

Hackers are sending out fake emails with the warning of the deactivation of the server. The email states that the server linked to the email id will be deactivated as the last verification warning was ignored by the user.

Hackers have used the time constraint of 48 hours to generate a sense of panic and urgency among the users. If the targeted user falls into the trap and decides to provide login credentials for recovery, hackers will steal it and use it for their benefit.

NPAV recommends users to ignore such fake warnings and refrain from providing their credentials to any untrusted link or website. Install NPAV on your devices to keep them safe and secure from all kinds of cyberattacks.
