NPAV research team has recently found a new phishing scam targeting user credentials.
Hackers are spreading a new phishing email with fake WeTransfer file sharing notification to steal user credentials. The phishing email notifies the targeted user about incoming files that were transferred via WeTransfer.
The email has an attachment which can be downloaded by clicking on “Get your files” button added in the email. Once the user falls into the trap and decides to click on this button, the email redirects user to a login page requesting the email id and password of the user.
The login page is a hacker-controlled web page that will store all the data provided by user. The web page is simply designed to steal login credentials of the users so that it can be used by hackers to target users.
