Hackers targeting Indian logistics, Indian West Coast Service, Cargo Ship Vessel

Hackers are targeting Indian logistics by circulating malicious phishing emails.

Hackers always use various tricks to compose an email which can easily lure the target.

Hackers are attacking real corporate logistic companies and sending emails with contact details in the email footer of Indian shipping and logistics company. Receivers will be very easily tricked to open the attachment IWCS VESSEL SCHEDULE.zip  which is related to the Indian West Coast Services Vessel Schedule.

In the following case hackers have mentioned COVID-19 pandemic and the latency and cost involved due to it.

The malicious email is mentioned below:

Dear Sir/Madam,
We wish to inform that“M.V. GH ZEPHYR 005S” arrived New Mangalore on
Dt: 16.04.2020 1030Hrs.

Please find vessel- rotation & arrival details below.
