Phishing scams and emails are circulating at an alarming rate

Phishing emails and scams are increasingly targeting individuals and organizations.

NPAV has already reported various phishing scams and campaigns that are being circulated by hackers to trick users. Hackers generally use trending news or topics to trick their targets. Recently reported phishing scams are related to COVID-19 pandemic and related topics.

The scams also use the name of organizations like outlook and gmail to ask their targets to provide them with their login credentials. One of such email scam layout is attached below:

As soon as the user clicks on the link listed in the email, the link will demand for the login credentials. If the user falls for the scam and submits the credentials, they are directly sent to the hacker. Using these credentials, hacker can now access any platform where same credentials were used by the user.

Falling into such scams simply means that you are completely sabotaging your cyber security. Hackers can access your emails, e-wallets, and any other sensitive data that you think is protected by using these credentials.

NPAV recommends users to never submit your username, password, OTP, CVV, or any other sensitive information through such links. These links are maliciously created phishing scams which will cost you a lot.
