Misconfigured cloud service lead to this major data leakage via 23 android applications.
Personal data of over 100 million Android users were exposed due to misconfigured cloud services. The issue was identified in around 23 applications, sample data and list of apps are displayed in the image below.
The usage of real time databases by the android apps is one of the major reasons behind the data exposure. The cloud data syncing process open a window for hackers to infiltrate and steal data.
