Scammers use the name of DHL EXPRESS courier service to launch phishing scams

Fake emails are circulated by phishing scammers using the name of DHL EXPRESS courier service.

The email states about the parcel that was not delivered to the targeted person because there was some error in the delivery address mentioned. The date listed in the email is of 12th June, and says that the courier was received at the post office on the same date.

The email asks the target to check the attached document which has shipping detail in it. The shared document is an html file which will be used by attacker for stealing credentials and sensitive data if submitted by the targeted person.

The email presents itself as an automated message so that the user can not confirm anything before submitting the information. Using the name of one of the famous courier services the hacker can easily lure various people into the trap.

NPAV recommends users to stop trusting such emails and keep ignoring them. These emails are circulated to steal sensitive information like passwords, banking credentials, mobile numbers, etc.
