"Black lives matter" movement used by cybercriminals to launch various attacks
The BLM movement in USA has allowed hackers to benefit from the current situation and launch malicious campaigns.
The black lives matter movement started since May 25 in the US, and researchers have seen a huge spike in the rate of cyber attacks. There is a huge rise in the malicious HTTP requests leading to various DDoS attack around the states.
There are 19 million malicious HTTP requests observed which simply indicates the growth rate of attacks conducted. Attackers have targeted various sectors like the advocacy groups against racism, the government websites, and the military websites.
Hackers have always tried to take the full advantage of any severe social situation that rises anywhere in the world. Researchers have revealed that one of the attacker was from France and was continuously targeting an advocacy group for over a day.
NPAV recommends that all the organizations that host HTTP requests must enhance and check their security measures against DDoS attacks and try to fill all the loopholes necessary.
Use NPAV and join us on a mission to secure the cyber world.
