PhoneSpy is a new spyware targeting android devices around the globe
PhoneSpy is using third-party android applications to target android devices.
Researchers have revealed findings on PhoneSpy spyware that can infiltrate Android handsets and is spread through malicious applications. The malware is developed with advanced obfuscation and concealment capabilities.
Once PhoneSpy is downloaded on a device, it can hide its icon and remain undetected, uninstall mobile security software, and gather extensive personal and corporate data from the victim, including private photos and communications.
Researchers described PhoneSpy as an ‘advanced’ RAT (Remote Access Trojan). They can perform various functions, from surveillance of victims’ activities and exfiltrating device information to transmitting data to the C2 server.
NPAV recommends users to stop downloading applications from third-party app stores or websites. Applications must be downloaded only via Google play or other trusted and official websites.
Install NPAV on your android devices to protect them from spyware, malware and ransomware attacks. Use NPAV and join us on a mission to secure the cyber world.
