A new cryptocurrency scam, Operation ASTERIX, is using AI coding tools, large phone-number databases, phishing, and fake support calls to identify and target potential crypto users. Attackers reportedly processed hundreds of thousands of numbers and used account validation to create highly targeted victim profiles.
