Over 84,000 Indian Gaming Accounts Leaked in 2024

In 2024, over 84,000 online gaming account user details were leaked in India, according to cybersecurity firm. The highest number of leaks occurred in Thailand, while Singapore reported the fewest instances in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.


Report highlighted that Thailand had 162,892 leaked cases, followed by the Philippines with 99,273, Vietnam with 87,969, and India with 84,262. Other countries included Indonesia (69,909), Malaysia (37,718), South Korea (37,097), China (18,786), Sri Lanka (10,877), and Singapore (4,262). Overall, 11 million gaming account credentials were leaked last year.


The APAC region, home to over half of the world's gamers, has seen rapid growth in both casual and competitive gaming due to increased digital adoption and mobile penetration. With nearly 1.8 billion players, the APAC gaming ecosystem is the largest globally and significantly influences gaming trends.
