European authorities shut down 'SIMCARTEL', a cybercrime-as-a-service operation on October 10, 2025, arresting 7 individuals and seizing 40,000 SIM cards, servers, websites, and freezing EUR 431,000 and USD 333,000. The network rented SIMs from 80 countries for creating fake accounts used in fraud.
