Apple has released a major security update for iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, addressing 27 vulnerabilities across 23 system components. The update targets devices from iPhone 11 and newer, as well as recent iPad models. Critical fixes include multiple WebKit vulnerabilities that could cause Safari crashes and unauthorized sensor access, an out-of-bounds access flaw in the Apple Neural Engine, and kernel issues exposing network sockets.

Improvements were also made to Sandbox permissions, media processing components (CoreAudio and CoreMedia), Bluetooth data redaction, and protections for sensitive data in AppleMobileFileIntegrity and Text Input systems. Privacy enhancements were added to Siri, Notes, and Call History features.
