Malicious auto-sharing link claiming to provide free Amazon Prime access is being circulated by hackers
Hackers are sharing malicious and fake links that claims to provide free access to Amazon Prime.
NPAV research team has recently found a fake and malicious link that is being shared over Whatsapp and emails. The link is associated with a fake message which states that the link provides 2 months of Amazon Prime access for free.
Cyber security researchers have also found that the link gets automatically forwarded to all the Whatsapp groups of the user. This is the technique being used by hackers to target more and more users around the globe.
People who fall into this trap will end up visiting the link which may create menace for their system and network. The link can be used by hackers to transmit various malware and ransomware. Hackers generally use these links to set up backdoor which can be later used to launch various other cyber attacks.
NPAV recommends users to stop trusting these malicious links and offers associated with them. Install NPAV on your devices to keep them protected from all kinds of cyber attacks.
