Phishing emails with fake payment overdue messages are targeting business emails

NPAV research team has reported a new phishing scam targeting individuals and businesses.

The phishing email alerts the user about a payment overdue by 30 days. The email raises an alarming scenario as it states that there can be legal actions taken against the receiver.

Hackers have maintained a formal tone in the entire email body so that it looks authentic. The email states that the payment requesting organization is ready to resend the invoice just to prove its authenticity.
