Phishing emails impersonating purchase order are landing in user inboxes

Hackers have started a new campaign to infect user systems via phishing emails.

NPAV research team has recently found a new phishing campaign that impersonates a purchase order. The email states that the user has received a purchase order and contains an attachment which has the details.

The email contains purchase order’s basic information such as PO number, Total pages and purchase order date. The email requests the user to download the attachment to know about the complete order details.

NPAV recommends users to refrain from downloading these attachments as they are mere cyber attacks launched by hackers to infect your cyber world. These attachments generally contain malicious backdoor and files that will invite a variety of future cyber attacks.

Install NPAV on your devices to keep them protected from all kinds of cyber attacks. Use NPAV and join us on a mission to secure the cyber world.
