‘Facebook Online Lottery Scam.’ doing the rounds on the Internet. Here’s a brief about what this scam is all about.

From last 2-3 days, we received an unsolicited email informing us about an online lottery pretending to be from FACEBOOK that we just won the sum of $950,000.00. The email stated that, your profile was randomly selected in an open ballot system held in the office here at Menlo Park,well i am glad to let you know that you were one of the 50 lucky selected winners that won the sum of $950,000.00.

The Real Story is that..

The above email is purely an online scam. It is just one of the sadistic tricks of cybercriminals to lure users with the ‘money carrot’ and trick them into furnishing their personal information including name, address, phone number, etc.

If you will reply to this email with the information they will asked you that, The Winners should pay for delivering fee or taxes.

We advise to all the Net Protector Users that never to respond to such unexpected or unsolicited emails, especially those associated with money. Don't click or download such emails that contain links or attachments. Clicking these would either take you to a phishing website or drop malware on your system.
