REvil ransomware attacks law firm to risk data of various celebrities
756 GB of data is in danger because of REvil ransomware, also known as Sodinokibi.
Recent research has found that REvil ransomware has targeted a famous New York based law firm. The law firm has data of various huge organizations and also manages some top celebrities and their data.
The firm has various media sector clients and the data of all these clients is now at risk. The compromised data includes contracts, telephone numbers, email addresses, personal correspondence, non-disclosure agreements.
The above attached image is a screenshot shared by the attacker to prove the legitimacy of attack and the threat it poses. The compromised data has various sensitive information sectors like celebrity contracts and non-disclosure agreements which can prove to be very costly and highly dangerous.
