Phishing emails containing fake email deactivation notice are being circulated by hackers

NPAV’s research team has reported another phishing scam launched by hackers targeting login credentials and the private data of users.

The phishing email states that there has been a request raised to deactivate the user’s email account. In order to cancel the request, the user will have to click on the “Cancel De-activation” option provided in the email.

Once the user clicks on the provided option, the page is redirected to a login page requesting login credentials. This page is a hacker-controlled page that can save all the information entered in it and share it with hackers.

NPAV recommends users to never submit any details via such emails as they are mere phishing attacks that will steal important and private information from you. Install NPAV on your devices to keep them protected from all kinds of cyberattacks.
