6,000 Yahoo accounts hacked by a former employee!
Yahoo! is an internet portal that incorporates a search engine and a directory of World Wide Web organized in a hierarchy of topic categories.
Yahoo has more than 200 million users around the world which makes it an alluring target for the attackers. A former engineer of Yahoo recently hacked 6,000 Yahoo accounts for primarily extracting sexual and private information of victims. 34-years-old Reyes Daniel Ruiz was found guilty of hacking these Yahoo accounts and victims included his friends and work colleagues. Daniel used his special access to Yahoo to gain user password and hacked into internal system of Yahoo to attain full access of targeted accounts.
Daniel used the hacked accounts to break into victim's Dropbox, Facebook, iCloud and Gmail accounts. Ruiz has been charged with computer intrusion and interception of wire communication. This is not the first time when Yahoo account holders have faced hacking threat. In 2016, reports stated that Yahoo developed special software to secretly scan millions of emails of various users for NSA meanwhile CEO provided full cooperation to the agency.
Emails contain all the important messages and data that should always be properly protected. All your notifications, interests, banking details, and other financial activities can be tracked by gaining the access to your email account. Always use genuine and trusted email service providers who are capable of keeping your account safe and secure.
