CamScanner is one of the most famous and widely used PDF creator and scanning app available for android users. Its efficiency and user-friendliness led it to a whopping 100 million+ downloads on play store.
The free version of this app was using a third party advertising library for monetization. Unfortunately, this advertising module has turned rogue and is now acting as a trojan dropper, that could allow remote attackers to secretly download and install malicious program(s) on the user's Android device.
NPAV suggests to uninstall the CamScanner app from your Android devices. There are certain prevailing apps which are safe and have similar functionalities as CamScanner.
