Phishing emails with account shut-down warnings are being used by hackers to steal user credentials

Hackers are circulating fake account shut-down emails to target and steal user credentials.

NPAV lab has recently found phishing emails that are being used by hackers to lure targets into their traps.

As attached above, the email generates a sense of urgency and panic and hence, can lead users directly into the hacker’s trap. Hackers have the access to store each and every information that the user decides to share through this malicious page.

Once the password is submitted by the user in this page, hacker can use it to target all the accounts that have the same or similar password.

Hackers can also use this credentials to steal various sensitive information from the targeted user like bank account details, passwords of other accounts, confidential documents, etc.
